“Canyon of Conquered #Souls” -The barren remains of the Jemez Historic Site. At one point, a GÃusewa Pueblo, then the San Jose de los Jemez mission, then overtaken again in the Pueblo #Rebellion, and finally, overtaken by nature. Officially adopted as a state monument in 1935. If you stand still, you can hear someone or something older than the stones around you...and if you wait long enough, you may actually see it... #TeamCanon and #PicsArt #explore the #forgotten #history of the #southwest with the #CanonEOS SL-1, EF-S 18-135mm STM lens. #newmexicotrue via Instagram https://ift.tt/2XmE8lw
